This insanely gorgeous and timeless Vintage Whiting & Davis Gold Mesh Chainmail Fringe Bag combines three of our favorite things: chainmail, fringe, and the iconic brand Whiting & Davis. If you're not aware, Whiting & Davis is the Massachusetts mesh house that's been armoring evening bags since 1876. Liquid gold armor mesh pours from a pierced scrollwork frame, arches and cutwork, straight out of the flapper playbook, down to a full swishing hem of looped mesh fringe. Doubled golden chain up top. Kiss-lock closure with the good, decisive snap. This one's a Deco-revival edition from the label's later golden run, meaning you get the full 1920s silhouette with mesh that's still supple, bright, and ready to be danced with without the museum-piece fragility. The fringe is so pretty and whimsical; a rare touch that pairs beautifully with the Art Nouveau inspired frame. Made in USA. Please see worn photos for sizing.

CONDITION: In good condition, commensurate with age. Threads lightly detaching from part of the frame in one area (reflected in price); can still be used as is or could be easily repaired if desired. Light visible wear on one side of the bag in small area.
