Miriam Haskell is quite possibly one of the most famous costume jewelers of all time. She opened her jewelry boutique in 1926 in the old McAlpin Hotel in New York City. her jewelry was worn by Joan Crawford, Lucille Ball, Gloria Vanderbilt and the Duchess of Windsor among others.
