Vintage RARE Christian Lacroix Monumental Rhinestone Shell Necklace

An exceptionally rare, huge Vintage Christian Lacroix Monumental Rhinestone Shell Necklace. A stunning, gigantic shell is covered in highly detailed sea creatures and rhinestones. Motifs include coral, two starfish, an octopus, and a seahorse climbing the big, hulking shell decked out in a gorgeous glazing of watercolor-like enamel with various cabochon rhinestones. The pendant hangs from a neat, braided cord. This is an exceptionally rare vintage statement piece from one of the grand masters of vintage jewelry--Christian Lacroix. We've never seen another one like it.

Measurements: Necklace roughly 21.25 inches long; adjustable. Pendant roughly 4.25 inches at longest.

CONDITION: In excellent secondhand condition, with some normal wear and tear that comes with age.
