Every so often Dollchunk Bazaar acquires something with no comparables. This is one of those moments. A cozy cable-knit wool hobo hand-embellished by an artist, maximalist, genius Simone Brenner, transformed into a walking cabinet of curiosities.
A dyed sisal/jute market tote in sunset colors of magenta bleeding into purple and marigold with natural burlap binding and doubled handles plays home to a composed landscape, this time underwater at sunset: a cluster of woven raffia-covered buttons in faded stripes (that pastel basketweave cloud), carved pale-green jade-style fish plaques (those pierced rectangular pendants with incised twin fish are Chinese carved serpentine/faux-jade pieces, stitched on with green thread), a school of patchwork snakeskin fish swimming across the marigold section, amber and carnelian-tone beads bubbling in arcs, and one plum Juicy Couture logo button hiding mid-current. Simply iconic and truly one-of-one. Please see worn photos for sizing.
