Vintage Ceramic Art Deco Lady Brooch, Artist-Made

A hand-sculpted Vintage Ceramic Art Deco Lady Brooch,  in the Deco manner: eyes closed, gilded lashes and lips, cloche cap studded with gold dots, and two amethyst crystals set where earrings would be. A single feather curls off the top. Utterly singular, faintly haunted, extremely chic. We love her gold lipstick. She is so celestial.

MATERIALS: Hand-formed and glazed ceramic, gold luster, prong-set crystals, natural feather

ERA: Studio-made, likely 1980s–1990s

CONDITION: Excellent, glaze and gold luster intact, crystals secure, feather present with gentle age. Back shows glue, commensurate with age.
