Iris Apfel's Vintage Antiqued Kuchi Heart Coin Necklace

From Iris Apfel's personal collection: A chunky Vintage Antiqued Kuchi Heart Coin Necklace. Likely Pashtun jewelry made in Peshawar by Afghan artisans; possibly picked up by Iris on one of her many world adventures. This choker necklace is accented with stunning cut glass in cobalt blue and scarlet red with dangling beautiful coin-like pendants. Our favorite part of this piece are the adorable heart accents on each side.

In order to make this piece more size inclusive, we added a leather cord and adjustable sterling silver chain. It can be worn either as a tight choker or slightly lower on most necks.

Due to their authentic provenance and the delicate secondhand nature, items from the personal collection of Iris Apfel are final sale and non-returnable. Each piece will arrive with a provenance card.

MATERIALS: Silver tone metal, glass.

ERA: Estimated 1950s - 1980s. Pakistan sticker added at a later date, likely by a museum, Iris, or another collector.

CONDITION: In good secondhand condition, with some normal wear and tear that comes with age. Light visible scratching throughout. Patina commensurate with age. Missing one pendant, not very visible when worn.

MEASUREMENTS: Roughly 18 inches, including 4 inch adjustable chain.
