Iris Apfel's Antique Gold Chunky Emerald & Diamond Ring is likely a conversion from an earring, featuring a brilliant, juicy, minty, bead cabochon emerald and a bevy of delicious rose cut diamonds in sculptural settings on low karat, alloy oxidized gold. 

Antique ring finds of a lifetime, from the jewelry collection of Iris Apfel: Renowned maximalist icon Iris Apfel traveled the world to find her best-of-the-best antique and vintage finds. Her special affinity for jewelry was unrivaled. Preserved in her personal collection were a highly unique selection of Georgian, Victorian and earlier antique diamond and gemstone rings, many of which were converted from incredibly rare brooches, earrings and other pieces. What's most amazing about these pieces--antique jewelry collectors know, often times, 100+ year old rings can be small or dainty. Not these! Many are oversized and take up ample finger space. MATERIALS: Emerald, diamonds, 10K gold band and low karat gold alloyed settings (XRF/electronically tested).

ERA: Late 18th to late 19th century. Conversion later.

CONDITION: In good secondhand condition, with some normal wear and tear that comes with age. Light visible scratching throughout. Light tarnishing and beautiful patina that only comes with age. Emerald is very secure but does move slightly in its setting.
