This is a gorgeous piece of jewelry history. Our Vintage Alphonse La Paglia Sterling Silver Modernest Floral Brooch depicts an Art Nouveau inspired flora and fauna design that would look amazing pinned to a label or worn as a pendant with a brooch converter.

Alphonse LaPaglia was a silversmith who began his career during the 1940s. He designed for Frederick Lunning at the Georg Jensen store in New York City. LaPaglia continued making pieces for Jensen USA until around 1949. In 1952, LaPaglia became affiliated with the International Silver Company and moved to Meriden, CT. His career was short-lived since he passed away in the 1950s - but his work was carried out by his company in the years following his death.
