Iris Apfel's Vintage Oversize Cinnabar Crane & Ceramic Bead Necklace

From Iris Apfel's personal collection: A stunning, otherworldly, oversize Vintage Cinnabar Crane & Ceramic Bead Necklace. These beads were included in a boxed lot of Iris's pieces including broken necklaces and beads that we purchased from Iris Apfel's estate. We brought these pieces from her collection back to life and added a comfortable leather cord with solid sterling silver findings in a way we think best honors Iris's style.

These beads are incredibly special and super bold--not for the faint of heart. This is the kind of statement piece that will have everyone in the room talking to you. We can't stop thinking about how good it would look with a floor-length printed maxi dress for summer, or a chunky, multi-color turtleneck sweater for winter.

MATERIALS: Cinnabar, ceramic, leather cord, solid sterling silver.

ERA: Beads estimated 1940s - 1970s.

CONDITION: In good secondhand condition, with some normal wear and tear that comes with age. Light visible scratching throughout. Light chipping on some cinnabar, some dark markings throughout.

MEASUREMENTS: Roughly 34 inches long.
